Yes, this is the one. It has less stickers and crap on it now though.
I pine for this car, the one that got away. It didn't so much get away
as I was a shortsighted fool. My first chance was when it showed up at
Woodburn several years ago with a relative of the original owner. It
was low miles (50k?), all original paint, interior, 6volt, etc. It was
just out of the garage and looking "used". I think he wanted 4k, and I
didn't realize how special it was (not that I had the money). 6 months
later I saw an add in the Oregonian for a red interior '66 for $3k.
Some kid owned it and must not have realized how old cars make for
uncomfortable long road trip cruisers. In any case, he hadn't screwed
it up yet, but I was stupid and should have sold something expensive
like one of my bicycles and bought the damn thing. The next time I see
it is at the PIR show (above pic), and it has been buffed and cleaned
and looks immaculate, dude wants over $5k for it. Probably still worth it.
