I was having a some trouble getting started the other day and ended up using one of Muir's techniques on my solenoid to get my starter motor going. I put a screwdriver across the two bolts on the solenoid (page 51 in the Muir book), the starter "whirred" and then I was able to turn the key and start up. My question - Is the trouble most likely the solenoid? Not knowing anything about them, are they temperamental or do they eventually wear out? Just wanted to know if I need to address this right away. It doesn't seem like it's too hard to replace. As always, thanks Bill Kunz 69 SQBK MT NYC __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
