I don't think this is really an issue. When I rebuild MCs, I find rusty areas 
at the mouth and under the feed ports. I admit that it's hard to see all the 
way to the bottom, but I've never had a problem with this.

Gravity bleeding works best on a system that is starting out almost completely 
empty. I've done lots of pumping & bleeding, much more than by gravity.
