1) The lower ball joints must NOT be adjusted, their notch must point straight forward. When I place the ball joint into the lower torsion arm the notch points foward but towards the passengers side. This is on the drivers side lower torsion arm. Do I just tighten it and use a wrench to straighten it out? Also how do I adjust the top ball joint. 2) Steering wheel alignment must be done by adjusting the tie rod ends, NOT by >removing the wheel and putting it back on straight. Check the steering gear >section first to make sure that no one has moved the wheel before you. > >If they give you an argument, you just need to find a different shop. I plan on taking it to a shop that had previously aligned it years back. My stearing wheel was straight. They did a good job of aligning it. But like I said that was years ago. When I recently called them they said they only have specs that go back 20 years and every years they loose a year ad a year. If this makes any sense. Something about there computer software. Then I got a hold of one of the guys that works there and he said he might be able to do it without even putting it on the lift. So let's see how it goes. I got my tie rod ends in and just like the ball joints it does not show inner, outter, left, or right. I know the left inner no longer exist. I have two different part numbers. 311 415 811C and 311 415 812C. Which one goes where. Thanks for all the good info guys it is much apreciated.
