I'm actually ready to shoot clear over the existing >paint just so I don't >have to keep doing that. This leads me to my next question. I bought a cheap orbital polisher and applied the rubbing compound then the polishing compound, but it still is not shiny like the rest of the car (except when it is wet). Could this mean that the car has been clear coated? I know that it was resprayed at least once. Or could this just be my lousy painting, it was my first time. If you need a picture of the car to tell go to http://jasontsmith.tripod.com/type3/pictures.htm . Thanks!
