Check and repair your cracked overflow hose. See if replacing the filter a few times will eventually cure it. If not, you'll have to remove the tank and flush it out. Some radiator repair shops will do this for you. There is a brass mesh "sock" filter in the bottom of the tank which you should take out before you try to clean the tank. If you flush with water, don't let the water sit in there when you're finished. Either oil the inside, or fill it with gas right away. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
