You just need to remove the screw , not take the door apart. That screw is 
partly hidden by the door seal. Once you find the access hole (some have a 
plastic cap over it) and then use a phillips screw driver to remove the screw. 
Slide the door handle toward the front of the car and lift out.
 I think the locks themselves are interchangeable, but I know the handles are 
type3 specific.
Just close the door like normal, and when you need to open it from the 
outside push in on the flate tab plate in there that opens the release. I hope this
