Or you could drive the engine from the DDB for awhile, while you work over the universal engine and get it set up the way you want it. I think it's always difficult to put yourself in a position where you have exactly one engine, you want to do some major work on it, and you have a deadline where it all has to be back in the car and running so you can use the car on some particular day.
