If your (inductive pickup?) timing light shows a spark going into the distributor, but none coming out, then you have to look to see where it is going. There's either a spark track down the side of the cap or a puncture thru the rotor. The only way to check for a punctured rotor is to eliminate all the other possibilities and then try replacing the rotor. Make sure you check all 4 SP wires for outgoing spark, and make sure the inside of the cap is dry. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
