200k mile mazda...

5 sets of tires
original tranny, clutch, pressure plate
2 sets of front brake pads, original rear
6 oil changes... that is it
original struts
38 mpg... 38mpg with the a/c
3 windshields (thanks idaho)
1st set of non OG belts at 130k
1st non OG spark plugs at 130k (they didn't really need to be changes)

again, i love my VWs, but if my wife couldn't just get in and go with a 
car like the mazda, i wouldn't get to play with the VWs.  i just wish i 
could 38mpg and run a/c all summer in my VWs.
