Hi all, I am ready to install my new engine mounts. On comparing the new and old ones, I have noticed that they are not exactly the same. The new ones, below the rubber part, have a long(ish) fork with holes where the engine carrier crossmember bolts to it. My old ones (whose rubber has completely disappeared) have a rod with a short fork on the end. I measured both types and they seem to be the same length. All pictures I have ever seen of this part have been of ones like the new ones which I intend to install. Can someone please check if there was an early and late type of IRS engine mounts? If so, are they interchangeable? I seriously doubt whether the Type 34 is different to the Type 3 in this respect, as they don't appear in the Type 34 parts book. As they are the same length I don't really foresee any trouble. However I don't want to take everything apart and then find they don't fit.
