The black is steel and the yellow is plastic. Between the 2 part, inside, there are a couple of O-rings which seal the gas inside. If the system drys out, the O-rings can shrink and fail to seal. Leakage here is fairly common. If this is where your leak is, you may be able to fix it by just letting the parts sit with gas there for a few days. You could even take the injectors out and let them soak in a can of gas or kerosene for awhile. SOMETIMES this will cure them. It is also possible that the steel body has rusted inside where the O-ring has to seal. In this case, it is unlikely that they'll ever seal again. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
