Thanks Bob, I just double checked on the sachs-boge web page ( http://www.sachs-boge.co.uk/direkt.php?link=owx_54_46627_2_6_0_00000000000000.html which is excellent btw for x-referencing parts) and the type1 pre 66 shocks look like they should do the job except they are not the same part number as those for a type3. Looking at the details they say the type1 shocks have the parameters s26x135 and ours are s26x142. I'm guessing that means 26mm dia by 142 travel. Would that be a problem? its only 7mm difference so I guess it shouldn't really matter. Our rears have the parameters s26x154 which is the same part as for a 1302/3. Would I be better off fitting them or would they be too long?
