Unhook the cable at the back, and pull it forward and out of the hole. Loop the eye over the hook and secure it to the hook with a garbage bag tie. Tie wrap might work. Anything to keep it in place. Gentley reinstall the pedal cluster, keeping the the pedal forward as much as possible. After the cluster is bolted back in place, go back underneath and pull the cable toward the rear, and reconnect it to the clutch arm, and adjust properly. -- Russ Wolfe '66 FB MT '71 FB AT '65 Bug (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
