You mean like driving my wife's Fastback and stopping somewhere, and having
someone remark about them, "once owning a Ghia that looked just like it?" Or
driving the Notch and having someone comment,"nice looking BMW you've got
there." Or last summer driving my son's type3 Roadster, and having a guy argue with
me that the car was an Austin Healy (his comment) and not a VW (my response)?
He didn't believe me until we (my son and I) got him to look at the
similarilies to the 69 Square that was parked right behind it. Or the other question
that night, "is that a Porsche speedster?" : ) If this is what you mean, then
yes, I've run across that before. But then in 15 years of type3 ownership, thats
bound to happen.
