Re: [T3] Stock dual carbs

RichardA=> 1.25:1 rocker, stock CW forged 8-dowel crank,
=> 8.5:1 CR [stock on 65 1500S], dual carbs, 041 heads,
=> 009 distributor, header, etc.)

Lose the 009, it is *not* a performance part. Any FI distributor will do you
better than that will. The 1500S also had domed pistons, ate leaded fuel,
was discontinued after two years, and produced the same HP as the flat-top
1600, so you may want to reconsider your CR.

You'll definitely want to rejet them for the bigger valves, but that's all,
they'll be fine. The venturis are indeed removable, and there were two stock
sizes, 21 and 23mm if I recall correctly. You may be able to use venturis
from 32-34 PDSITs too, but don't quote me. I'm not sure of the performance
value of changing the venturis, but it's easy to test them and see; I expect
you'll find differences in torque and high end under various conditions.

=> an adjustable main jet available for the 34-PICT1
=> Bug carb on high-altitude cars.

This may work, but FYI we live at 5300 and no one I know uses one.

=> What was the first year for dual port heads on the T3s?

'67, wasn't it?
