RE: [T3] Body Sealant

Just so you won't be surprised, this stuff, the good
stuff is expensive, at about $10 per tube.

Don't make the mistake I did in assuming that since
the stuff coming off the car is fairly rigid, that
the new stuff will also be rigid after drying. I put
on extra thinking that it would be easy to sand off
afterwards, WRONG. This is essentially silicone caulk
with something like gypsum in with it to give it some
bulk.

Treat it like any silicone, put it in right the first
time if at all possible, clean off excess immediately
so you don't have to go back and scrape the excess
off, for if you do you will pull more than you want
to remove. I had to remove all of it, then start
all over. It turned out well though.

I normally use some 3M brand seam sealer. This can be
bought at an auto body paint supply store or a very
good FLAP, then you just load up your caulk gun with a
tube of seam sealer and lay in a new bead in place.
I hope this helps.
