This is why I didnt put full flow on my Square when I was driving it in the winter! 30W is no good for winter use where its cold, you can get a couple hundred PSI easily but that thick oil isnt getting through your bearing clearances. That being said... why do the filters keep blowing up with the full flow systems? Arent they good for several hundred PSI? Why doesnt the bypass valve work for the full flow systems? Something is amiss here and I never really got an answer what. I dont know of any other autos that can blow up a filter.... My golf will regularly run 150 psi at the filter in the winter... no problems.
