I knew someone once who had a Corvair engine in a 60s bus, so if it will fit in a bus it will fit in a type 3. I wonder how much heavier it is? I would expect the cooling to be a problem with a Corvair engine in a type 3, however, because, like the type 1s, it requires a seal all around the engine compartment that blocks off the upper half from the lower half. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
