I have had no problems since I have had the car (almost 2 yrs now). Numerous mechanics around here have told me that they also use premium UL and the additive. I read somewhere that for newer engines an additive is not necessary, but on an original (possibly tired) engine you may need it to prevent the heads and valves to die prematurely.
