Even VW have changed to the 3-layer stuff now. Must have lost the magic formula for the old stuff. I'm pretty sure my front 7mm feed hose from the tank to tunnel pipe (carbs!) is the original 33 year old stuff. I've never yet changed one of those, but I'm pretty sure the pipes are plain ends, so no stretching over a shaped pipe. Dave.
