Vacuum leak will cause the idle to be too high, even with the adjustment all the way closed. Common leaks are at the intake runners (either end) and at the pressure sensor hose (either end). Suggestion for the poor performance of a pair of injectors: Clean your trigger contacts in the base of the distributor. Clean them by dragging a business card or clean dollar bill through them. Then check the wiring for the injectors and spark plugs. You might have something reversed after all that diagnosing. > fighting the ECU. We checked and saw that the fuel injectors were firing. You checked this by remoging the pairs in turn and letting them spray into a jar per the Bentley instructions? If so, were they firing in the correct order? Sorry you didn't make it to Hershey..
