There was a thread here a couple of weeks ago about turn signals that weren't working quite right. The symptom was that the inside indicators didn't flash except with the 4-way flashers. I was driving yesterday and was having some problems with my TS so I started thinking about this. The TS switch only makes one connection, so if the outside lamps are flashing we know that the switch works. The inside lights are driven directly by the relay, so if they EVER work we know that they are wired up right. The inside lamps are triggered by a current sensitive circuit in the relay, so they may not flash if one of the outside bulbs has been replaced with one which does not draw enough current. The current from 4 bulbs is always enough to trip the inside bulbs. So check your outside bulbs. I suspect one or two of them has been replaced with an incorrect, and lower current, one. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Shameless link for search engines: http://listarchive.type3.org ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
