I got back from checking the thermostat after a 20 minute run at 65-70 mph, at the half way point I got out to check the thermostat (when the oil pressure light flickerd) and I could not see any change in the appearance from cold to hot. Is there any other way to check the cooling flaps?. Another thing I noticed was that I saw that I was leaking oil from the valve covers so I will be replacing both of those gaskets. About the thermostat, can it be checked like a regular any other one, taking it off the engine and putting it on some hot liquid to see it expand? If yes and mine does not work properly I might as well ask If anyone has a good known working one they can sell me. I now the cooling fins on the jugs are clean since I just cleaned them not even 2 months ago and the same goes for the oil cooler, I know is clean also. But the foam everett was speakin off, I still do not know what was he refering to, anyone has any info on this? about the 30w I don't think I will follow the manual on this, at least until I figure out the cooling problem.
