'66 Buses use a similar looking regulator (with the loop of wire) to the 6v
Type 3 ones.  I don't know if the amps are 45 or 50 though.  I suspect 45A
as I have a stack of Bug/Bus generators.  They are all 180 watt where my
Type 3 generator is 200 watt.  I don't know if that directly translates to
45A vs. 50A.

Does yours have provisions for flat mounting (firewall) or
top-of-the-generator mounting?
