[T3] Better starting in colder weather

Its starting to get colder here in the mornings (Massachusettes).
And my car is requiring 4-5 start attempts before idling on its
own. This is what I do:

1. Turn the key
2. Give her two pumps of the gas pedal 
3. Attempt start.

When it doesn't catch, I repeat the above process until it idles on its own.

Is there anything I can do to ensure idle on the first try?
