This will always sound a lot more abusive than it really is, largely because you're already worried about your fresh rebuild, and also because of the fact that you're usually standing right over the engine while you're doing this. How many of you have timed a type 4 fastback? You have to actually stick your head into a little space RIGHT ABOVE the engine. You're not even 6" away AND you have to do this at something like 3200 RPM. I just HATE that; it's so nervewracking. Type 3 fastys may be a little cramped for this, but squares are comfortable and easy. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
