2000 RPM is OK for  I forget how long (Berg can tell you).  This is to work
harden the cam, not for the rings.  YEa, you dont want to idle it strait
off.  Ive got 89K on my stocker right now as I was careful when I broke it
in... still has excellent compression and oil pressure.

Nearly anybody with a machine shop can change the guides, its so easy now...
dont skimp on the exaust valves and guides.
