Was that the intent of the book - just a user parts > reference? If you had this book in front of you, you could call up your dealer and tell him what book you had, which illustration you were looking at and which item in that illustration you wanted (each item is numbered.) Then he could look up in his corresponding, but more complete book and figure out the part number. Then he could check his stock, the price, etc and you could get the part one way or another. Things like this aren't so important if you're in LA or NYC, but if you are 250 miles out in the Sahara and need a part, it can be difficult, and extremely important, that you get the right part on the first try. This makes it much more likely. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
