It started running on what felt/sounded like two cylinders. I was talking to an old VW mechanic. He asked if I had checked the second set of points? I thought the dude was pulling my leg. Kinda like...your muffler bearing is going bad. I asked the local parts guy and he assured me that the FI system had a second set of points called Trigger Points. I bought a new set of Bosche (around $65) and it did the trick. I had never had a dizzy out of a car with FI, so I never noticed the sports mouth piece shaped gizzmo. Yes, I know I hear the first click, but not sure about the second. The fuel pump does come on and then off. --- Jim Adney <jadney@vwtype3.org> wrote: > On 15 Sep 2003 at 11:46, David Engle wrote: > > > I replaced the trigger points awhile back.
