They are silver/grey plated and screwed to the top rear of the inner rail that is welded to the side of the tunnel. There are 2 screws that attach each one. Fold the seat forward and look down from the rear seat area to see them. If they aren't there, do you see 2 holes in the rain where they used to be attached? You might be able to see whether there had ever been sheet metal screws in those holes. All the ones I've ever looked at had these.
