I seriously doubt if there are any NEW engines around anywhere anymore. And if there were, one would have to wonder if they might be severely rusted inside by now. Rebuild engines are your only option and they range from patheticly awful to masterfully good. It ALL depends on who does it and how much they care. In general, it's important to understand that NO ONE cares as much about your car/engine as you do, so the best person to do your rebuild is you. The down side is that it takes a lot of studying for you to make sure that you know what you're doing, and there are a lot of mistakes you can make. The alternative is to find someone you can trust to do the job well for you. Those people are out there, but finding them can be tough.
