That's true of the Eberspacher units and definitely not a bad idea but the heater was offered as a factory install as early as 1965. Before this it seems to me that whether you got an Eberspacher or Hupp the install was done at the dealers. Parts books show an Eber unit right from chassis no 00000001 but I'm not convinced that these were installed at the factory. Anyone else have opinions on this?
