Going back to an old thread:

I've just noticed something interesting about the '69 flasher unit: it 
clicks when you turn the ignition on. I assume this is the way it is 
supposed to work, and every indication is that my relay is in perfect 
condition,

Now, one of the few things I know about the fuel injection system is 
that the fuel pump relay, which I understand is under the dash, is 
supposed to click when you turn the key on (it gets mentioned on this 
list about twice a day), thus, if anyone is trying to debug a '69-70 FI 
system, make sure you're hearing the right relay click, especially if 
you hear it click once, and then not again.

I'm sure Jim or someone will correct me if I've got the details wrong.
