I had a 1776 in my old '71 squareback that ran at a constant 185-195¼F here
in Phoenix. The engine was stock except for the 90.5 cylinders, Dellorto
40mm carbs, extractor exhaust with dual quiet packs and one of those old CB
performance in-sump filters. (Well I guess it wasn't too stock, but not too
crazy either)

The car had excellent power for daily driving, and for trips to the
mountains of Flagstaff and Sedona. It also saw many trips to SoCal with no
problems across the deserts.

As beat-up as the body was on that car, it drove great. I miss that car! :(
