I don't think this is anything that would "wear out," so first I'd suspect that this might vary a bit from VR to VR, or that your meter was out of cal. or that there was some other explanation, like there was a chunk of rust, or a seat belt clip, leaning against something on the VR that was bypassing this. > On the new VR, so all I do is measure with one test lead on DF and another > to the body of the vr - like the outer casing?
