If this just happens when it is cold, then it is probably just dirt and grease in there that gets stiffer in the cold. Rather than reinserting it 20 times, I'd try "vibrating" it in place to see if this will allow the tumblers to fall into place. If that doesn't work, consider removing the lock cylinder and flushing it with a solvent until it is clean. Then lubricate it with one of the lock lubricants like "Lock Eze" that leaves behind a dry lubricant that won't attract dirt. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
