Having done this job myself both professionally and on jack stands in 
college, I can tell you that you are paying almost completely for the labor 
at current shop rates of $60+ per hour.  The job, at most shops requires 2 
techs for part of the job, effectively making that $120 per shop hour for 
part of the time.  It can be done at home, on jack stands... and I almost 
guarentee that by the time you are done, you will wish you took it to a 
shop!  FWD is a major PITB and that is just the way it is... Sorry.
