Congratulations, good job and well done!!!

Thanks for the info, I've been thinking about doing this too, but my
generator is still working just fine.

Two notches/splines is a pretty good drop. It really depends on what rims
you're using, if stock you're limited to something kinda narrow. But if you got
to a 5 spoke or something that at least 5.5" wide then you have more options
like going to a 185-60 or 185-65 for the front.

I'd repair the battery tray area with a new section of ghia pan (I did mine
this way and it worked great) and wire brush, marine clean, and metal prep the
floor before putting some POR15 on it. That stuff seems to work very good on
floors of our cars. I did my Square last Nov. with it, even adding pieces of
fiberglass matting like John J. did on his 66 Square, to fill the smaller holes,
as I didn't want to get into it that much. I put 2 coats of the POR15 (like
they recommend) and it seems to be holding up real well. I also used it on the
rear flooring deck as mine was a little thin there. If you use it, wear gloves
as that stuff doesn't like to come off the skin for at least 3 days.

No problem, we're here to help. : )
