I think the mystery of the same number parts relates to the way the parts lists
deal with sunroof version and non-sunroof.

It translates as:-
Retaining spring 311 867 549A is used on all non-sunroof Notches and Squarebacks
for all 6 of the tensioners.
Additionally 549A is used on tensioners 2 and 3 on sunroof Notches and
Squarebacks.

Retaining spring 313 867 549 is used on tensioner 1 on sunroof Notches and
Squarebacks.

The clip 131 867 549 together with the cap 311 867 649 is for non-sunroof
Notches (12 used) and sunroof Fastbacks (8 used).

The only question remaining in my mind is how many tensioning wires does a
sunroof Square use? Does it only have 3 altogether?  I've no sunroof version to
look at.
