The parts are no longer available means that *they* don't sell them. I have purchased NOS Bosch injectors (spares) for as little as $15 on E-bay. I can also provide you with the name/address of a couple people who sell various little FI parts, as I'm sure a lot of people on this list can. In fact, many here have such parts available for people on the list. I'm still working on getting my "new" 71 on the road, but the wealth of information I've found both here and elsewhere has convinced me that if something's wrong with your FI, it's a matter of basic step-by-step troubleshooting to fix it, rather than a relative "black art" of carb-ing. :) And beyond that (shameless plug forthcoming), you can download a condensed version of Glenn's FI guide with all pertinent D-Jet stuff at: http://www.tiserves.com/vw/technical/ if you do decide to ditch the FI, I'm sure there are more than a few people on the list who would love to buy either the whole system or misc parts from you. Myself included.
