I just posted some new photos of the latest find on "The Samba" This is a 64 S Model Notch It is a fairly complete car with a perfect working sunroof , and runner no less I do have few questions..Everett ? Is this the correct wheel for this car? <http://www.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/index.mv?photo+84958.jpg> It is a solid rim.?? Also are these door panels original? It is a kinda salmon color? <http://www.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/index.mv?photo+84950.jpg> The car appears to be swapped over to 12 volts..but the push button is still working? Can this be true? I thought that it would have burned up long ago...the PO knew nothing about the elec so i doubt he did anything to it. And the Gauges are incorrect also..But we have another set already to go in. When would the factory have stopped using orange needle gauges? I have an extra set that i want to put in this car... And as a side note my 63 notch is in the process of have new motor fitted into it..more on that later.
