Re: [T3] 1961-65 floor mats
<x-flowed>I'm actually still in the process of making it myself, using what's
left of the original one to get it as close as possible to the real
thing. I wanted an original-looking 2-piece rubber full floor mat but
one that I wouldn't have to worry about ruining in use. Most of the
real ones are extremely fragile at this point. I was able to find
rubber matting that is close to the original surface pattern and
thickness. It's thin and flexible enough to conform itself to compound
curves, so it can mimic the original molded mat fairly convincingly.
I'm going to finish it this coming weekend, so I'll get some photos
while the seats are out. I'm going to save the pattern and could make a
set for anyone with a 1961-65 Notch or Squareback who's interested.
