Re: [T3] Gear ratio's

Ive been pullin a 12'' boat with a stock engine for years with a 71 Tranny,
am I really just getting luckey with 4th?
Its whining alot now but it seems to work and shift fine and Russ diagnosed
it as a worn front main bearing on the way to Parma.

If I go 2L, can I get away with a 72 stock tranny or am I really gonna have
to get a custom buildup as you describe below??

Thanks,

Keith
