Re: [T3]Tranny ratios (was John, Please E-mail me)

<x-flowed>I'd just like to second that 'reply to' change on the list box.

while we're ont he subject of gearboxes, how can i tell what gearbox is in a particular type 3 with out pulling it out - situation is looking at a lovely 71 fastback that was an auto and is now a manual, but has the shifter (gearlever) of a pre 65 type1.... does it really matter?
also the gearbox chatters when you take your foot off the accelerator in 4th at speed. is this a biggie?

I remembered. These were all small changes, however, and the Bug may have changed identically. The final drive may have been most of that difference.

I have an IRS trans out of a 70 Ghia here, so would that have 3.88 or 4.12 final drive? It came with my AT Square as part of the deal, as the guy was also cleaning out his garage.

P.S.. I'm Sorry for those who get this twice. I wish Greg would change the reply settings back to replying to type3.org insted of who actually wrote the last message / response that was written.
