not really. there were some 914-only engines, but this does not seem to 
be one of them.

yeah, my '74 412 wagon has the same EC engine code. see the following

the same engine in the 412 came with the bosch l-jetronic 
AFC-controlled fuel injection, just keep that in mind if you are 
thinking about carburator conversion.
