The Type 2's had different distributors than the Type 1's. This was due to their different loads, and the air intake systems. In a T-1, the air filter sits right on top the carb. On a T-2, the air cleaner was mounted off to the side, and a looooonnng rubber intake runner was used. Bob's 043 dist. is a T-1 dist. with a single vac. can. -- Russ Wolfe '66 FB MT '71 FB AT '65 Bug (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
