Thread-topic: Air leak fix?

I found I have an air leak at the throttle valve on my '68 Squareback with FI.  RPMs increase significantly when the left side of the air manifold where the throttle cable attaches is sprayed with starter fluid.  Is this normal or something that should be fixed?  If it can be fixed, how?
