Hiya everyone, This past weekend we got a good deluge here in SoCal and because if certain reasons, I was forced to drive my car. So I had my wipers going for a while, but when I tried to turn them off, they kept on going. The wipers would briefly stop when they reached the rest position, but by brief I mean, like less than half a second; more of a stutter than anything. Only way to shut them off was to kill the ign. Then if I turned the wipers back on, it would do the same thing. When I got in my car on Mon. morning they didn't work, at all. Also my turn signals have gone kaput! Fuses are all okay, wiper motor and wiper switch were orig. ones (ie. 1965 6v models). When I turn the signal switch, the indicators in the gauge light up but do not flash and the actual turn signal lamps do not light up either. The flash relay was replaced, nothing. So I am kind of stuck. I wouldn't think they are related...but??? Any ideas.
