Hello- Toby - I was about to make a big reply to Jim's statement, but you said it all :-). I've done a couple custom A/C systems for aircooled VWs with excellent success. Wrote an article about it in VW Trends a few years ago, too. My T3 has A/C on it, and I would _never_ have it any other way. Of course, it has the modern compressor, etc. etc. Take care, Shad Laws LN Engineering - Aircooled Precision Performance http://www.lnengineering.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Toby Erkson" <air_cooled_nut@pobox.com> To: <type3@vwtype3.org> Sent: Sunday, March 16, 2003 10:55 AM Subject: Re: [T3] A/C > Jim is correct about everything he said and I agree with him 100%...for a > bone-stock T3 that is :-) > > If a modern compressor were used the load on the engine would be no more than > 3-hp.
